Occurrence of a tooth corona defect causes certain changes in an oral cavity. In the initial stage of the disease, the firm tissues of the tooth will start to become quite painful. As a result, the patient tries to transfer chewing on the healthy side of his mouth, but that only serves to increase dental adjournment in this area, and that results in an injury to the periodontium tissues.

At the occurrence of cavities on the surface of a tooth, the inter-dental contact zone is broken. For a long time the basic method of cavity treatment in teeth has been the norm. But as extensive damage to the coronas occur; the most reliable treatment involves the use of prosthetics, which has proven far more beneficial than drilling a hole and sealing it. The tooth corona prosthetic is made by insets, and in case of significant destruction of tooth corona, the restoration of the tooth is best completed by a false tooth.

At last, if corona is completely destroyed, it is restored by pins. The inset is a micro artificial limb of a tooth by means of which it restores the anatomic form of tooth corona. The best materials for insets are such materials as gold of 916-th test, platinum, silver-palladium, porcelain and others.

The tooth reshaping procedure performing starts from inset installation. The direct method of inset installation consists of insets manufacturing directly in an oral cavity of the patient. In order to carry out the preparation of a tooth for inset installation: delete an old seal and carious tissues, round all internal sides. Then cover teeth and a cavity with special gel. A transparent matrix is strengthened around the tooth wedges and isolated with gel.

Then on a bottom of the cavity and the wall a special solution is put in layers. Each layer is polymerized from three sides on 20 seconds. After removing surpluses of a material, inset is taken from a cavity and placed in a furnace for 4-6 minutes for final bake. Gel is washed off by water and process a cavity peroxide of hydrogen. Fix on a tooth a new matrix, pickle enamel side, wash out and dry up. Bonding material is put on all internal surfaces of a cavity, and then bonding material is shined for 40 seconds.

The inset is washed out by water, dried by air and is smeared with the bonding material, then cement is put on inset internal walls and inset is brought in a cavity, slightly pressing. After polymerization of cement, surpluses should be deleted, after that stomatologist polishes the tooth and covers it with fluorine-comprising varnish. Just after the tooth reshaping procedure is finished, a period which is called tooth reshaping recovery period begins.

Ceramic coronas are made only on the base of ceramics and correspond to color of teeth that is their main advantage. They are ideal in the cosmetic and aesthetic regard. Ceramic coronas possess a transparency, but from the point of view of durability they concede all-metal and ceramic-metal coronas. Ceramic coronas are used for frontal teeth restoration since they possess natural appearance, exact abutment to a tooth.

All-metal coronas are made only on the base of metal. Ideal metal for all-metal coronas is gold. Gold coronas well stand chewing pressure and are considered as the most durable.
