What do you know about skin layers?

Skin layers are the basic components making up the skin of any person. It's a common knowledge there are two main skin layers (epidermis and dermis) and one more known as subcutaneous fat (many scientists call it the "fatty layer"). Each of the mentioned layers has its own distinguishing features and specific functions we will talk about in this article.

There are three types of epidermis cells: basic cells, cells of the stoma complexes and trichomes

Epidermis is known to be the outermost skin layer. It is made up of different epidermis cells which have not only different names, but also variable functions to be carried out. For example, squamous cells are historically identified by their look (they are thin and fattened). Such cells are the ones comprising the epithelium along with basal cells and melanocytes producing melanin.
