Binders types differ in a number of details

Binders types can vary in a lot of items. The most common types are ring binders and zip binders. Binders can also differ in the shape of the rings. The rings can be round and "D"-shaped. A lot of people prefer the latter ones because they consider that it is easier to turn pages with "D" binders and the pages are better aligned when the binder is opened and full.
There are several binders types today. The most common binders types are ring binders and zip binders. Ring binders are the folders in which paper can be held with the help of rods or clamps which run in the wholes of the paper. Traditionally the retainers are spring-loaded, usually but not always circular and can either have or have no complementary latching systems. The binders can come in different standard sizes with respect to paper size and capacity. If you use large amounts of paper, you are recommended to use the lever arch system. There are some common tips about what you should decide for yourself when you want to buy binders. First of all you should decide how many binders you need. After that you should decide how many sheets your binders will fold. While thinking of that it is necessary to include tabs as well. As they are thick, you should count each tab for four pages. The binder's capacity is determined by the measurement of the inside height or of the inside diameter of the round rings the binder manufacturer can provide you with the chart that shows how many pages every ring size can accommodate. You should also choose between such binders types as vinyl (cheap and durable) and turned edge binder (more expensive and more elegant). Turned edge binders have fabric which is glued over the board of the binder. Binders types also differ in the way they are decorated. You can opt for screen printing which is good for longer runs. It works rather well on vinyl and is ideal for line art. Halftones and screen are considered to be more challenging, so it is recommended to discuss this point with your printer. Appliqué, embossing and foil stamping are among the most common options. For lower runs it is possible to consider the offset printing inserts which are slipped under the overlay and clear pockets. Your manufacturer can seal the inserts beneath the plastic. You should also decide on the size of sheets your binder will accommodate. Do not forget to include the size of tabs which extend beyond the size of the sheet. Color is the next point you should consider. The rivets of the binder can be either exposed or unexposed. Their strength is similar. In case you have some artwork on the spine, it may be better to conceal the rivets. You can also opt for inside pockets. The pockets can be one or two. It is possible to provide your binder with CD holders and business outside or inside pockets which can be situated outside or inside. You can protect the text of your documents and keep the last and the first pages from tearing. This is done with the help of special sheet filters for which you can also opt for. The binders types can vary in the form of their rings. They can be either round or "D" rings. As for the latter, they are mounted to the back cover. A lot of people consider that it is much easier to turn pages with "D" rings. Moreover, the pages are better aligned when the binder is open and full. There are several things it is necessary to pay attention to while producing binders. Your printer will understand your wishes better when you provide a ring shape, decoration, rivets, tabs, contents, showing size and mock-up. You can ask your manufacturer to ship the binder's contents shrink-wrapped and inside the binder, not over the rings.
