One of the most popular male Latin pop singers Eros Ramazzotti was born in Rome in 1963 in the family of a housepainter. In his teenage Eros begins his musical career by moving to Milan, well-known for its music festivals held regularly. In 1984, Eros Ramazzotti won in the very popular Italian "San Remo Festival" in the "New Voice" category. He debuted with the song "Terra promessa".
After his success Eros releases a number of albums consisting of heartfelt ballads combined with powerful rock tunes. This combination led to his international success especially in Latin-speaking countries of South America, Italy and Spain. Targeting this audience Eros Ramazzotti records his albums in Spanish and Italian. Eros Ramazzotti is also extremely popular in other countries across Europe for his "macho" image and elegant style.

This talented Italian singer has already sold over forty million records worldwide. Eros Ramazzotti was married to famous Swiss model and television host Michelle Hunziker and has one daughter Aurora Sophie with her. They are now divorced. Ricky Martin is another bright example of successful male Latin pop singers. Ricky Martin (Enrique Martin Morales) was born in 1971 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Many critics consider him to be a major star of Latin popular music. He is often believed to have promoted such Latin pop stars as Shakira and Thalia.
From his school ages Ricky realized his ability to catch people's eye by his performance on stage and then he decided to become a singer. First he attends voice lessons and tries to sparkle in television advertising spots. Ricky's first boy band was "Menudo" which he joined in 1984 and left in 1989. It seems to Ricky that he has outgrown "Menudo" and he launches his solo career.
For the first time he moved to Mexico where he took parts in Mexican soaps such as "Mama ama el rock" and "Los tenis Rojos" and performed with the popular Mexican band "Munecos de Papel". In 1994, Ricky Martin moved to Los Angeles, California where he started to play in American telenovelas like "General Hospital".
Later on he gets acquainted with musical agent Angelo Medina and starts his American music career. His first songs were real hits such as "Maria", "The Cup of Life" and "Livin' la Vida Loca". The latter became a massive worldwide hit and Ricky got exposure on music channels across the world. Another high point in Ricky's career was collaboration with Madonna in the Spanish-speaking ballad "Cuidado Con Mi Ojete" ("Be Careful").
In 2003, Ricky Martin broke up with his agent Angelo Menuda and next year he received a Lifetime Achievment Award in Miami. Ricky Martin is well known for his charity. He adopted three little Indian girls and makes attempts to prevent sexual exploitation and child trafficking. In 2005, Ricky Martin released the tenth album in his career - "Sound Loaded" rated number six on Billboard charts. "I don't care" single enjoyed massive success in America and now this one of the best male Latin pop singers is on the crest of popularity.
