Perfection: Classic Hollywood actorsHollywood made thousands of movies and has made thousands of actors and actresses famous, but only a few of them become living legends. They become classic Hollywood actors. All of them like Will Rogers and James Stewart have something magical in their appearances and their imagines. There were many characters that made women of many generations dream, laugh, and cry. My grandmother wore dresses with bows and went to bed with the photo of Will Rodgers. Then, my mother, who was wearing a very slim shirt, found that same photo and it was very old then and also very greasy. But, her heat beat very hard every time she looked at the photo or saw a movie that he was starring in. Then, there is me, a tomboy in jeans and a gray jacket. I caught my grandmother watching a movie starring Rodgers on DVD and she was crying. At first, I wanted to burst out laughing, but then, it became interesting because he was real perfection. I have never had the idea that a classic Hollywood star could interest me. But, I blushed when I saw him on the video because he was so charming and a real gentleman that I fell in love with him. I told my mom about my new flame and, you guessed it; she smiled at me and laughed because I guess she was mad about him too.
So, what is it about classic Hollywood actors that make us blush, cry, and breathe deeply? I think that in spite of feminism, all women wish to be sensitive, helpless, and weak. They want to faint every time they find out something disappointing. They want to wear gloves and hide their faces from the sun behind a veil. They want to be loved and to be given every support and encouragement. Any classic Hollywood actors, including Will Rodgers and James Stewart, show us the example of a strong honored and courteous man, who is well-mannered around women.
We see the world where a man holds a woman in his hands and she allows him to do it, where a woman is a home caring for children and learning to speak French. She knits in the evenings or sometimes she even bakes cookies. She does charity work and spring is all year round. She works in the garden when children are playing and acting like hooligans.
It seems like women are tired of being self-confident, strong, and independent. Those classical gentlemen are admired and desired by modern women. They want to have all the good, the equal salary and work, and have the right to be weak and fragile. They want to have sex appeal, spend money on their hair and new shoes, and not be sexually abused. They want to be good and caring mothers and not get a job because they have babies. It is impossible to say they are wrong. Surely they are right and men understand this. But, it is possible only if men in our society are strong and are able to forgive women some of their weaknesses without violating their rights in return.
Women all over the world seem to believe that classic Hollywood actors, as gentlemen are strong and allow women to be weak sometimes. It makes their heart beat and think that another way of life is possible, where men are not animals, but real gentlemen.
