Fabrics, rugs and coverings - traditional products of textile industry

Modern fabrics weaving industry is highly developed. Different sorts of materials are used and the range of products is rather extensive. The line of most traditional products of this industry includes all sorts of apparel (from everyday clothes to special designs). Rugs and carpets also represent a separate sector of weaving industry and the variety of such products is great.
Modern technology has a lot to offer both for everyday life and for special uses. Fabric weaving methods are blossoming and modern weaving machines allow producing a great amount of any sort of fabric very fast and cheap. Modern textile industry employs both traditional natural fibers that have been in place for ages and new synthetic materials that have just been elaborated. The technology along with a huge range of available materials allows producing a great deal of numerous products. For a very long time different sorts of clothes have been traditional products of textile industry. Fabric weaving was originally invented to provide people with eye-catching and durable apparel and covering basic needs was the main reason for traditional products. But today the situation has modified and so have the traditional products of fabric weaving industry. Today people are interested not only in practical clothes but also in some other things. Lots of natural and synthetic fabrics are vital for the modern household. The industrial use of fabrics is also very wide. For example, the main part of information technology optic fiber is used for high speed networks (this is a very thin fiber made of glass, which is able to transmit light over a long-range distance). Most of the networks that form the Internet these days are interconnected by fiber optics. Other sorts of fabrics have also been put to service, so it would be legitimate to say that all types of fabric that are produced on a global scale can be considered as traditional products of fabric industry. Some sorts of fabrics (usually fiberglass or similar non organic fiber) imbued with epoxy resin form a very strong and lightweight material that is used in aviation, shipbuilding and even medicine. New materials are constantly emerging on the market and new ways of using of fabrics are discovered every day. Today fabrics weaving technology is literally everywhere. Another wide sector of weaving industry is a production of rugs and carpets. The art of rugs weaving is almost as old as the craft of weaving itself. Even ancient people made rugs and carpets as decorative coverings for their homes. These antique rugs are very expensive today. And although modern technology can offer a lot of different kinds of rugs made of different materials (which are even more durable than natural fibers used in old carpets) traditional hand-made carpets are overwhelmingly popular. And they are valued not only by specialists and collectors, but also by people who love to buy a rare hand made rug for their leaving room. These things, provided that they are cleverly combined with the furniture and interior, can bring a warm atmosphere into your home. Patterns that these traditional products of rugs weaving have are so attractive that many people build the whole decoration on the basis of the chosen oriental rug. Even being placed in a high-tech decor of modern apartment it gives a wonderfully warm and relaxing feeling and adds a sense of luxury to any room.
