Let's recap a brief history of football in America. We shall start with 1921. During this year the annals of championships of the National Football League though professional sports association on the American football had another name - the American Professional Football Association is officially conducted. The American Professional football Associations, in abbreviated form APFA, was headed by the journalist Jo Carr. During same time Jo Carr was the owner of the football club the "Columbus Panhandles".
Jo Carr has thoroughly undertaken a detailed development of game rules and for the first time beforehand has made a calendar of the championships. The association of Professional football by then began to total already 22 teams. The first began with this moment NFL records. To one of NFL records began the fact of that the playing trainer Akron Pros Frits Pollard became the first black main trainer.
The club called the Chicago Styles (today Chicago Bears) became the first champion, having suffered only one defeat at one drawn game and ten victories. This record also is brought in lists of NFL records and NFL team records. In 1922, American professional football association has been renamed into National football league and since then carries this proud name. The quantity of teams in this organization is constantly being changed; by that moment eighteen of them were totaled.
All of them have taken part in championship of NFL. In 1923, one more of numerous NFL records were put. In championship of NFL, in which twenty teams took part, the winner became club "Canton Bulldogs", at eleven victories, suffering only one defeat. During the years from 1921-1923 the team led "Canton Bulldogs" without defeats of 25 games successively, as one of NFL records.
About 1925 some clubs left NFL, their place was occupied with other teams. To five new clubs franchise of NFL wad sold at the price of 500 dollars. Among "recruits" there was also a club, well-known nowadays as the "New York Giants". A little NFL individual records were put by Francis Tarkenton and Francis Ashbury. This outstanding football player was the leader in offense for the "New York Giants" in 1967-72.
For 17 years of career in professional football he has set up a record of National football league on number of successful breaks (3686 of 6467 attempts), to total distance of promotion to a gate of the opponent (47003 yards) and to a number of hammered heads (342). In 1978, he became the sports commentator. During the 1925 season in the NFL he made the most successful course in reception of a national recognition.
The best record of league NFL from NFL records is carrying out of 48 transfers and was established by well-known Dan Marino in 1984. In 2004, while playing "Indianapolis" Payton Manning made a step to recurrence of NFL record, established 20 years ago. In the next match of the regular championship against "Baltimore" Manning made his 47th pass in a season, resulted in a touchdown, and his team won with a final score of 20 to 10. In other games Manning some times had a chance to repeat this achievement; however it was not possible to him.
Certainly, it is not the list of NFL records. In our opinion there are more appreciable NFL records and NFL individual records. Probably, in the near future this list will be filled up with many other records.
