As vegetarianism is getting more popular every day and there are a lot of vegetarian movie stars today. Michael J Fox and Rachel Leigh Cook are among them. The former is a famous actor and writer. He wrote an autobiographical book called "Lucky Man." The latter is a model and an actor. The girl began her model career when she was only 10 years old. As for her acting career, it began at the age of 14.
It is not a secret that vegetarianism is outstandingly popular today. There are a lot of people throughout the world who are vegetarians. Vegetarian movie stars are not a rarity. Michael J Fox is also one of vegetarian movie stars. He was born in 1961. He is a Canadian actor who has become famous thanks to his roles in the movies "Back to the Future" and "Family Ties." As a boy, Michael J Fox had to live in different towns and cities all over Canada because his father was a member of Canadian Armed Forces. But after his father retired in 1971, the family settled in British Columbia.
When Fox got older, he moved to Los Angeles to become an actor. But he did not even guess what a hard road was waiting for you. His debut happened on the American TV in Letters from Frank. Soon he began selling pieces of furniture and got the role in Family Ties. After that the man mostly got notable roles in such movies as The Secret of My Success, For Love or Money, Teen Wolf and others. The man is the voice of Stuart Little. He was also a guest star in comedy Scrubs.
Fox showed himself as a talented writer. He wrote an autobiographical book which he called Lucky Man. In the book the man told about his experience of having the early stage of Parkinson's disease. He was diagnosed with that disease in 1991. Since that time the man is a passionate advocate of researches devoted to Parkinson's disease. He believes that the research may help those who suffer from the disease in the future. He even created his own foundation which he called Michael J Foundation. It was created in order to help in the advance of the research.
In 2000 the man announced about his intention to leave his role in Spin City because of his illness. It was Charlie Sheen who replaced him in this role.
In 1988 Fox married. It was the actress Tracy Pollan who became his wife.
Another of vegetarian movie stars worth mentioning is Rachel Leigh Cook. She was born in Minnesota. She began her model career when she was only 10 years old. She appeared in the nationwide advertisements.
When she was 14 years old, Cook started her acting work. It was her model agency that sent her to shoot in the film. The girl started the career in the sphere of feature films in the Baby-Sitters Club in 1995.
She was also recognized as one of the sexiest women in the world. Now the woman owns a production company which is called Ben's Sister Productions. It is a kind of a reference to her brother.
A few words about private live of the model and actress. Cook dated such actors as Rider Strong, Shane West, Ryan Reynolds and Vincent Kartheiser. In 2004 the girl married Daniel Gillis after they were engaged at the end of 2003. She lives in Los Angeles but often visits her family in Minnesota. She is one of the most passionate vegetarians in the world of celebrities.
