They are made of the materials, which can look like natural teeth and their color can be selected among the thousands of shades to suit the colors of surrounding teeth. The material is firm and hard to break or damage. However, ceramic and porcelain crowns are the most expensive.

A patient will wear the temporary crown until permanent crown is made. After two or three weeks dentist will put the permanent crown instead of the temporary.
