How to Prevent Pets Gum DiseasesNot every master remembers that their pets need dental care and service. They neglect the detailed dental investigation very often. And unfortunately, sometimes as a result their pets suffer from the serious dental diseases, for example, general periodontal disease, intact teeth; pets gum diseases etc. when a conservative treatment is often useless. The dentist should control your pet from the moment of its second dentition. Usually this process is not very uncomfortable and painful.
If your dog or cat has a bad breath you should visit the dentist. Because usually it is an evidence of purulent process or pets gum diseases. In this case your cat or dog needs a thorough dental investigation that is possible only if the dentist uses a sedative, because such investigation is painful. Unfortunately, a periodontitis happens sometimes and this periodontal disease is usually nonreversible. It is an inflammation of tissues between tooth root and alveolar. The main factor is bacteria. Unfortunately, modern dentists are not able to stop the process of parodentium destruction; they can only slow down it. The only way in this situation is dental care for pets.
To prevent other dogs and cats gum problems you should find time for dental care for your pet. You should clean the oral cavity of your pet. You need a toothbrush, toothpaste and a special rubber brush for a gum massage. Your dentist will recommend you the form, size and bristle of brush and the appropriate toothpaste. This process should be regular, usually you should do it once a week but sometimes you should do it every day for therapeutic effect.
Dental care is necessary from the early age of your pet. Otherwise, the possible dental problems can cause the disorders and diseases of other systems and organs. For example, the cat or dog with affected teeth is not able to masticate food properly. It causes the disorder in its digestion that causes the metabolism disorder in its turn. If there is a dental calculus then the oral cavity is always full of bacteria that poison the organism every time the pet eats or drinks. It damages the immune system and may even cause a renal failure.
