Find hidden abilities of human body with craniosacral system

Added: 03/07/2006

Despite the fact, of reaching high stage of society development and culture mature, despite all the scientific discoveries, made in fields of physics, chemistry, biology and medicine, we still know very little about the most important thing for our wellness and health - human's body. Though medical students spend from five to six years studying its systems, organs, functions, abnormalities, it is still likely, that there remain much more mysteries, than we cannot fully understand.

One of such mysteries is connected with human brain. This complicated system of glands, neurons, axons, nerve cells et cetera, by some unconceivable miracle, rules over the entire human's body. We hardly know fifty per cent of brain functions, and even less we understand about brain activities. All the material, we can deal with now, belongs to certain basic level, built on experience-based cognition, and most common knowledge. But even though, we have a lot of crucially important facts about brain activities and their possible influences on such points as body condition and health. One of the best examples in this field is craniosacral system. Though human beings, belonging to different cultures all over the world, for thousand of years knew about the great power of humans brain, this knowledge base was hardly used, the only exception can be Traditional Chinese Medicine, which used rather extensively active points of energetic channels, or Acupuncture points, some of which were situated on skull bones, and related with them brain active zones. Only in 20th century there appeared something rather close to integral system of brain-activity based therapy - it is so-called craniosacral system therapy. The craniosacral system first was described by William G. Sutherland in early 30th., being physician and osteopath, from the beginning of the century worked on the topic of brain activity and its possible influences. According to his researches, brain makes rhythmic vibrations, which are not related with heart pulsating rhythm. Normal pulsating is different from abnormal, and different diseases and misbalances, appearing in the body, change brain rhythm rather comprehensively. That means - many diseases can be identified by craniosacral method. But craniosacral method is helpful not only in the way of diagnostic. It works perfectly when it goes about treatment as well. Currently craniosacral practice is a popular method of treating most serious disorders, coming from mental and physical sphere. Method is developing, mainly thanks to Dr. John Upledger and his research institute, - Upledger Institute in Palm Springs, which do great work in conducting numerous researches on craniosacral treatment. Massage, developed on basis of craniosacral system, appeared to be one of three most successful methods for healing mental disorders like stresses, manias, phobias et cetera. Craniosacral massage is very helpful for children disorders, as well as for all-kinds headaches, neck pain, back pain, muscle stiffening. Generally, this method is applied on regular base in many hospitals, for pain syndrome and all-kinds of body dysfunctions, central nervous system disorders, orthopedic impairments, skeleton impairments, hearing problems so on. Craniosacral system description says, that method itself means applying very gentle (5 grams equivalent) massage which is applied on skull bones. As a matter of a fact, craniosacral is claimed to be very intensive for improving the whole body condition, releasing stresses, and reestablishing weak immune system. So don't hesitate to try this wonderful method for yourself.
