Madonna Louise Ciccone (her full name) is one of the most popular female pop-stars of all time. She was born on August 1958 in Michigan. She has many titles in the show business industry, such as multi-Grammy Awards as rock and pop singer, bestselling author, Golden Globe winning actress and more. The financial rewards of her efforts could fill a dozen Swiss banks.
She was born in an Italian-American family. When Madonna was only 5 years old, her mother died of complications related to breast cancer. Her father made her and her sisters and brothers take music lessons. Madonna also attended ballet classes and was believed to be a gifted dancer. She graduated from High School in 1976. Then she studied only one semester at University of Michigan and left it. She moved to the New York City to pursue a dance career. At that time even she couldn't imagine that one day she would be one of the greatest female pop-stars.
Her first album was released in 1983. This album went five times platinum and right away made Madonna one of the greatest female pop-stars. After that, she released the second album, which is called "Like a Virgin" and produced by Nile Rogers. This album has a little bit harder sound with a plenty of loud drums and bass guitars. In 1984 during the MTV Music Awards, Madonna's performance shocked the audience with her sexually suggestive moves and clothes. And this fact only increased her popularity.

Jennifer Lopez is another great and extremely famous female pop-star. Jennifer Lopez (or JLo) was born in July 1969, in Puerto Rico. She is a Latin pop and hip-hop singer, fashion designer and well known American actress.
She released some successful albums, such as "On the 6", "J. Lo", "This is me Then" and "Rebirth". Also she released a great number of singles. She starred in "Blood and wine", "Anaconda", "Out of sight", "The wedding planner", "Jersey girl", "Shall we dance" and many other movies.
She has many awards as a singer and actress.
