Soap is a universal washing agent. It is used daily in our lives and in housekeeping. The "know-how" of soap is simple enough, so, it can be manufactured even in domestic conditions. It is equally possible to add to soap color, aroma, and various other ingredients depending on the purpose. The homemade soap can be as effective as industrially produces soap.

Many years ago, people used leach to wash their clothes. Leach was extracted from vegetative raw materials. Soon, however, soap manufactures began to use animal fat. The smell was repulsive, so manufacturers started adding various vegetative extracts and aromatic oils. Nowadays, there is a great number of soap; the soap-making technology, however, has remained largely the same.
