The daughter of a good friend of mine literally woke up one morning with leukemia. This girl was always active, very fit, took extremely good care of herself and then -- WHAM! It hit her. And there in lies the mystery of this disease and many others. What triggers them off and what is the cure? Leukemia (or leucosis) is a disease, characterized by the overgrowth of immature blood cells substituting normal bone marrow cells, resulting in a high content of modified leucocytes in blood.
