But what is more interesting about British Pop Idol show is that it led to a beginning of similar shows in many different countries. Soon after the original version American Idol, Canadian Idol and Australian Idol shows followed, and all were huge hits. In fact, American Pop Idol is so popular that it shows no signs of slowing down.

Pop idol is a very popular show but there were only two seasons. And a similar American Idol show already had 4 seasons and each American Idol show season winners became very popular. But according to American Idol show overview it is not the end - there are much more shows to come. There is an intention to continue this American Idol show for at least five years up to 2011.
