One of the most common modeling types is print modeling. Models engaged in print modeling can be seen in photographs. These photos are likely to show beautiful skin care girl, young children, rugged man, etc. This is one of the broadest modeling types because at some point almost every type of a model can be needed. Print models are usually photographed to promote some products on buses, billboards, newspapers and magazines. This modeling type is known to be divided into the following two sections: product advertising and fashion advertising. In this type of modeling physical requirements are not stringent. As a rule, the clothing side isn't shown on the photo. It can have lots of alteration pins attached, which is considered by some models to be inconvenient.
Runaway modeling is for high fashion models that walk up and down the runaway and show off various fashions of particular designers. According to common requirements, the runaway model should be tall (for females - usually 5'9" and taller, for males - 6' and taller), very thin in size (6-8), with strong and distinctive features. However, in the past several years the mentioned rules have been almost broken. Nowadays runaway models often have a classic built and face features (including full lips, cheekbones), because the focus is on the clothes but not on the model. Very often looks that able to distract the designs are not welcome. Anyway, it is still considered to be the most glamorous modeling type requiring from the model a lot of grace and confidence.
One of the popular modern modeling types is body part modeling. It means that a person (a model) has an exceptional part of the body photographed for various commercial purposes (for example, feet, legs, hands, ears, lips, etc.).
Nude photos of "real people" modeling also require particular attention. Nude models are known to be often used for different kinds of medical or artistic photographs and drawings; porn industry isn't an exception. That's why it's very important to be aware (before the photograph session) of the purpose the model will be photographed for.
There are some other peculiar modeling types, for instance, fit or showroom modeling. The models engaged in the mentioned modeling business have standard size and help designers see how the clothing looks on the real person (not the mannequin).
