As Long as Hollywood Exists, Prada Women's Clothing Will Continue to be a Big Draw

The desire to look stylish and to stand out from the crowd will always make women give their preferences to Prada women's clothing. No Oscar Night passes by without a celebrity appearing in one of Prada dresses, Prada skirts and suits. In March 2003, for example Cameron Diaz attracted the eyes of the audience and the whole world wearing a remarkable Prada gown during the ceremony. A wonderful black gown and a sparkling silk dress having Prada labels cast a spell upon the viewers on the Oscar Night in February 2005. The stars who then appeared in Prada creations were Salma Hayak and Maggie Gyllenhall. The power of Prada over women remains as strong as ever.

Prada is something more than just mere fashion, certain magnetism flows from masterpieces of this designer house. It means something when the rich of the world choose it out of thousands not less worthy. Where does the enigma of Prada women's clothing lie? May it be found in exquisite fabrics or in modern handling of traditional garments, or in simple destructed lines and in plainness of look? The question rests unanswered and every year more and more celebrities are seen here and there wearing clothes with the touch of unearthly talent of Prada. But this has not always been like that.

In the far off 1913 when Mario Prada began in Milan his business selling shoes, leather handbags and trunks, nobody could guess where his initiative will end. Articles made of crystals, tortoise shell and wood replaced impracticable suitcases of heavy materials when longing for traveling the world Prada`s clients abandoned the previously adored products of his company. Enterprises rise and fall but for his grand-daughter Miuccia Prada who took up the family business in 1979, Prada women`s clothing would have never seen the world.

The young vehement spirit and passion for experiment have quickly gained Prada popularity among people. Luxurious articles appeared to be the right choice to save the company from the decline. It was in 1985 when the world saw Prada pret-a-porter clothing and women footwear for the first time and was conquered. Fame came to Miuccia Prada with her clean lines and synthetic fabrics. Since then the popularity of Prada women's clothing has only grown.

It was not by chance that Miuccia Prada won "Designer of the Year" award in 1995. Her knee length skirts and skinny belts exploded in the mid 90-s. The world went crazy for Prada women's clothing, like Prada dresses, Prada skirts and suits full of ice-cool minimalism. In the late 90-s America was seized by Prada fever and boutiques grew there like mushrooms.

Mario Prada`s two little boutiques developed into a multi-million concern constantly rating top in the ever changing world of fashion. However, during the last several years the business has not been so smooth for the House of Prada. The company has been fighting through a cash crisis. Being 1 billion in debt in 2002 Prada had to sell some of the houses even those recently acquired, like Byblos. Nevertheless, Prada products and especially Prada women's clothing has never been forgotten.

Prada collections have been a most spectacular item on the program of Milan Fashion weeks in 2004 and 2005. Miu Miu collections are specially created for young ladies and are popular all over the world. The designer will never ceases to surprise the hearts devoted to fashion. The company is trying to solve its financial problems by transferring production of certain articles to the East, mainly to China. There the expenditures are much lower and under the supervision of Prada specialists the highest quality of the goods does not change and still answer the expectations of the most fastidious buyers.

Taking into consideration all this we can only say that Prada is destined to keep bringing pleasure to the world for many years to come.
