 All five America's next top model cycles have some peculiarities

There are five America's next top model cycles. Each of them has some peculiarities. For example, relationships between the cycles contestants differed from cycle to cycle. Every cycle consisted of several episodes. Though the episodes were different, the most popular kind of activity offered to the girls was photo shoots. The photo shoots were also different though bikini shoots were among the most frequent ones.
In general, there are five America's next top model cycles. The first of the America's next top model cycles began from the photo shoot of the girls. They wore the swimwear from J.Lo and were shot at the top of one of the Manhattan skyscrapers. After the shoot the judges voted against Tessa Carlson. The second episode was another bikini photo shoot for Stuff magazine. After the shoot it was Katie Cleary, one of the cycles contestants, who was eliminated because she was considered to be too sexy that limited her model appeal. In the first of America's next top model cycles it was Adrianne Curry who became the first of the cycles champions. The girl got a modeling contract with Revlon, a contract with the agency Wilhelmina Models and worked with such a well-known magazine as Marie Claire.
The second of America's next top model cycles was held in 2004. At this time there were twelve contestants, not ten like in the previous cycle. In general, the second episode was similar to the first one. Nevertheless, there were some differences. For example, the panel of judges was a bit stricter to the participants during the evaluation and criticism. For instance, one of the contestants Catie Anderson was told several times that she looked and dressed just like a prostitute. The photo shoots in the cycle tended to be more sexual than in the previous cycle. The first shoot, for example, included nude posing in body paint. Later the contestants of the show were to shoot in an erotic shoot which was held in Italy. This photo shoot presupposed the shoot of each pair of the girls nude together. The shoot was done for the perfume advertisement.
The third cycle was held in autumn of 2004. This time the contestants were fourteen. The winner of the contest was Eva Pigford. It is necessary to mention the fact that she was the first Afro-American model and the youngest participant in the whole history of the contest. Again the season began with a swimwear shoot which was held at Jamaica where the participants were taken to.
The next episode of the cycle was devoted to the photo shoot of the contestants who exposed hair styles and Lee Jeans wearing nothing but the product.
The fourth cycle ran in 2005 in Los Angeles.
As for the fifth cycle, it was decided that the winner would undergo the transformation similar to Cinderella's. The competition was held in Los Angeles as well as during the fourth cycle. This cycle consisted of thirteen participants. The cycle began with an extraordinary photo shoot. The theme of the shoot can be defined as super hero theme. Each of the girls was suspended in the air in order to create the "fierce" photograph.
One of the most interesting episodes of the fifth cycle consisted in the fact that each contestant was to have a photo shoot, a commercial shoot and a press interview and they had thirty minutes all in all. The task of the episode was to advertise Secret deodorant. The participants did not have the slightest idea about the way it was going to be done. The panel of the judges decided that the model whose picture would turn out to be the best would have her picture advertising Secret deodorant in magazines and newspapers. Nicole Linkletter became the winner of the fifth cycle.
