In 1910, France became the fifth participator of this competition and when in 2000 Italy joined them the competition and got the modern name "The competition of six nations".

For example, in 1973 all five teams-participators lost and won in two games during which they got equal quantity of the points and they were winners of this competition. Since 1994, in the case when the point quantity among two and more teams one begins to count the general difference between missed and kicked balls and the result of the meeting between two teams.

Other annual popular competitions which have existed since 1996 are "The competition of three countries". It includes the team from Australia, Republic of South Africa and New Zealand.

In 1986, in Australia the congress of international rugby federations took place and it made a decision to carry the World Cup among the national teams. The first winner was the rugby team from New Zeeland, in 1991 and 1999 the team from Australia became the first. Also for the last one hundred years a "Test series" have been carried out. The first game was between teams from New Zeeland and Australia in 1894.
