the city i live in is old
but not ancient
well, there are no pyramids !
roman walls , oh yes and
st pauls the cathedral
the river thames
slithers around like a viper
in the sand
museums and galleries
theatres and restaurents
squares parks
heaths and commons
i love this city of mine
it lives within me
i inhabit in it
