Who's in it: Katherine Heigl, James Marsden, Malin Ackerman
What it's about: After 27 times as a bridesmaid, nice-guy Jane (Heigl) boils over when her dream guy (and boss) George (Edward Burns) proposes to her sister (Ackerman).
Ruffled: Heigl proved she could do comedy in "Knocked Up" — and she's got a great set-up here. Besides the boss-sister plot, she also meets Mr. Right (Marsden) and can't stand him. But Heigl is hampered by a joke-starved script that drags too long between laughs. The writer also doesn't show any punchline love to Marsden or Judy Greer (as Jane's funny best friend). So the whole thing falls flatter than a wedding cake with no yeast.
Long story short: Leave this one at the altar.
