Adobe Photoshop provides many sophisticated effects to users, which allow a cardinal image change. Therefore, if your imagination requires more space for the implementation of ideas, you can create your own Photoshop elements.
There are two main tools for the Adobe Photoshop elements creation. They are Custom and Displace.
The Custom command permits the creation of your own filters, which consent mixing of the contiguous pixels. These filters are used to enforce or decrease the image intenseness, create the landscapes and more.
The Photoshop elements of this kind are edited in the Customs dialogue box: Filter - Other - Custom. This dialogue contains a small window for the image preview and a matrix with five hundred and fifty five cells. There are two options - Scale and Offset. To view the result of the implemented filter, the user should check the flag on the Preview option.
After clicking "OK", the selected image's part is handled according to the numbers, entered to the matrix. In this way the filter decreases the current value of each pixel's brightness for the value from the central cell of the matrix. Following, the values of the contiguous pixels brightness are multiplied with the values from the cells, placed around the central one. The results are summed and divided for the values of the Scale parameter, the Offset value is added to the result. These actions are repeated for each pixel of the Photoshop elements afterwards.
Use the Filter - Distort - Displace commands to call the Displace filter. It helps to deform the image moving colors of the definite pixels in the selected area. If you have not selected any area before the filter usage, then the changes will be applied to the whole image. This technique allows to create an interesting texture for the Photoshop elements.
Working with the Displace filter you should define the direction and distance for which you should transfer the colors. In this way you will create the called displace card for the Photoshop elements. This card is a separate graphical file. The values of the brightness in the disposal card affect to certain pixels' change. To use the card in the Displace filter you should save it as a flat image in the Photoshop format. The displace card should not contain any layers. This is an important factor for the Photoshop elements creation.
The displace card can contain one or more color channels. If the card contains more than one color channel, the first channel points to the horizontal displace, and the second one to the vertical.
The border areas of the images are often distorted at editing. There are two reasons for it. The first one is that the transfers from the gray to the black and from the gray to the white are happening too fast at the displace card. The second reason could be that the transfers from the light to the dark color are the same. As a result, there could be some distortions of the image. To avoid this negative effect you should do more fluent transfers from the light to the dark, however, the transfers from the dark to the white should be sharper.
We mentioned only a few side effects of the Photoshop templates and effects. Therefore, it is absolutely clear that the creation of your own effects requires some experience and professionalism. Actually, it would be better to spend some time and efforts to develop one customized filter that will provide the desired result at once than to use some of the standards.
