Samsung, one of the world leaders in computer monitors and displays manufacturing industry, has announced its new line of plasma and LCD high-end displays. At the time being, Samsung's range of displays consists of economic, reliable and modern LCD, TFT, CRT and plasma models.

New line of Samsung displays includes two models of plasma displays: 42 inches and 52 inches (models PPM42M5H and PPM50M5H respectively) and four models of new LCD monitors:

46-inches SyncMaster 460p and 40-inches SyncMaster 400p (both have twin models with network features).

New Samsung plasma and LCD displays are designed as high-end solutions for professional, commercial or corporate applications.  These displays may be used for impressive high-quality business presentations and indoor advertisement in large department stores, airports and railway stations.

New line of Samsung Plasma devices is remarkable for its high contrast ratio, bright picture, high resolution and quality. As it is noted in the official press release of Samsung Electronics Corporation, new plasma displays have super-high 10 000:1 contrast ratio and 1100 cd/m2 brightness level, which result in whiter white and blacker black colors. To reach these revolutionary contrast and brightness, Samsung has used high-Xeon gas in new displays as well as newly designed technology of plasma picture structure, which provides increased electrical separation between individual pixels.

New plasma displays have high resolution up to 1024x768 pixels, which is standard for high density TV.  Letter "H" in the model name stands for high resolution of new displays in comparison to standard 852x480 pixels. Among the main functional options of new plasma displays are picture-in-picture, picture-by-picture functions and tiling displays support.  The displays can be wall mounted either vertically or horizontally. Anti-Burn technology provides protection of displays in case of electrically charged residual images displaying. New plasma displays are equipped with composite video input, S-Video and DVI connectors.

New LCD displays, SyncMaster 400pn and 460pn, are distinguished by the use of the new MagicNet technology. This technology provides for the use of several displays with a single personal computer. Specially designed software allows displaying different content on different displays via Ethernet connection.  This is an especially useful feature for displays installed in large department stores.  Another notable feature of new Samsung LCD displays is MagicSpeed technology, providing the 8-milisecond response time, which is one of the best for the moment. This technology ensures better performance of motion video with smoother edges, clearer images and more natural image displaying.

All Samsung new LCD models offer wide variety of interface connectors, including composite video, S-Video, RGB analog and digital connectors.  Additional information on new Samsung displays is available at the Samsung official web page www.samsung.com.
