Ford Motor Company has a long and rich history of success. Its founder Henry Ford had a dream and a vision, which has made this company one of the leading American and international car manufacturers. This was the vision to create affordable, comfortable and reliable cars for average Americans. Ford Motor Company was founded back in 1906. The first vehicle ever created and designed by Henry Ford was quadrocycle. Even though, at that time Ford Motor Company was not a pioneer of the car manufacturing market and it had a significant number of competitors, it has greatly succeeded, especially during the gap years between the two world wars. The dream of Henry Ford came true and when his eldest grandson Henry Ford II came to take his place of company's president, he was able to go on leading the company to further success and development during the next twenty years.

Over the time, Ford Motor Company was able to develop an efficient car manufacturing and Ford dealerships infrastructure. Moreover, this car company has created great number of different car and engine models and has introduced significant innovation in the area of car design. However, during the course of its history, Ford Motor Company has had both some uplift and downcast times and some history of record of victories and failures. Ford focus, for instance, is a good example of it. For, Ford focus cars can be viewed as the personification and coming to reality of Henry Ford's dream of creating affordable, comfortable and reliable car for average consumers. Though, at the same time, in the year of 2005 Ford Motor Company had some significant problems with Ford focus cars and even had to call back a large number of them.

In America Ford focus is rated among the economy class cars. In 2003 Ford Motor Company was able to deliver to its consumer audiences new Ford focus PZEV car, which has met the California's stringent partial zero emissions standard. Moreover, such improvements have not in the least reduced Ford focus cars' benefits or their owners' comfort.  This Ford focus was equipped with all-new 2.3-liter I-4 engine generating 148 horsepower and 152 foot-pounds of torque, which meets California's stringent partial zero emissions standard while delivering lively performance from a larger-displacement power train with enhanced torque. These Ford focus cars were quite successful Ford Motor Company car release.

However, as I have already mentioned, in 2005 Ford Motor Company had to call back up to 359 thousand of its 2000-2002 models Ford focus cars. For, those vehicles had a problem with corrosion around the rear door latches. Over a time, this could resolve in more serious consequences and could even endanger cars' passengers' lives.  Such latches' corrosion could lead to insecurity of doors, because, they may even get opened while the car would still be in motion. So, the Ford Motor Company had to call back all the cars with such defect.

As any other brand, Ford Company has its ups and downs, but there are still millions of people around the world, who greatly enjoy and have fun driving Ford cars.
