According to a popular Algerian daily newspaper, Al-Khabar, millions of Algerian mobile phone users may be affected by a dangerous mobile virus which possesses a strange name - "acuvirus". The virus appeared in the internet and is claimed to infect mobile phones through WAP or GPRS connections, when a user connects to the Internet to download files or read e-mail. The virus distributes its malicious code rather quickly causing mobile phone data crash and also other parts of the mobile device are affected (SIM card, battery compartment). Acuvirus is activated immediately after making a phone call inside the same network or between two different mobile operators. When the phone rings, the name of the virus "acuvirus" or also "A.C.U" appears on the phone screen. It is not recommended to pick up the receiver when you see such an inscription.
