About the pixecode and pixel ads

Added: 03/26/2006

Today, we all understand that the most efficient advertising is the one that benefits in some way both consumers and advertisers. Pixel ads are quite revolutionary online advertising tools, as they are so tiny, intriguing and fun for advertising consumers. In addition, they are great tools for reaching the main online demographic group of eighteen - twenty nine years old consumers.

Due to the over saturation of mainstream and internet media with various advertising information and different formats of ads, advertisers are constantly on the search for new concepts and ideas as to increase the success and ROI of their advertising investments and campaigns. However, we all understand that the most efficient advertising is the one that benefits in some way consumers, together with advertisers. Some of it can be useful for your target customers, while some of it can simply be fun. Only then advertisers will not have to convince their consumers in the necessity to watch their ads, as it is now with TV advertising, for instance.

One of such new online advertising concepts was represented with the introduction of pixel ads. Pixel ads were invented by a UK student Alex Tew. Pixel ads are created using a pixecode. A pixecode is a system of information encoding. Digital cameras and smart phones use the pixecode for scanning and decoding the link to a relevant WEB or WAP site without having to use mobile keypads for typing in long and, often times, complex WEB or WAP site addresses. The pixecode system is applied for providing online users with dynamic and rich media, an easy and interactive communication.

Now, pixel ads are quite revolutionary online advertising tools, as they are very tiny, which by itself intrigues and raises the curiosity of online users. Moreover, it makes them fun and very, very affordable for advertisers. A pixel ads campaigns budget will not requite a significant investment of your advertising dollars. Usually, advertisers would buy a 100-pixel advertising space on some web sites. The price for one pixel could vary from one penny to a dollar. Moreover, some of such sites offer free pixel ads.

One of the major pixel ads' advantages is their ability to reach online surfers of eighteen - twenty nine years old. These online consumers represent the main 'demographics' of all the online users. Pixel ads evoke their interest and curiosity. A lot of such users enter pixel ads' web sites in order to see what those ads are. Frequently, it resolves not only in viewing advertisements, but also in clicking the links of advertising sites. The statistics show that an average person, who enters pixel ads' sites, views no less than four or five different advertisements. Some of such visitors bookmark the pages and revisit them later on the purpose to see new pixel ads. They may spend around five - ten minutes per visit, just viewing advertisements. Compare it to the few seconds online surfers dedicate to viewing banner or pop up ads and you will understand why pixel ads are so popular.

Furthermore, recently there has been created a pixel ad submitter, which significantly simplifies the task of submitting such ads both for advertisers and for pixel ads' publishers. The advertisers get to save not only their time, but also their money, since a bundle purchase gives them a possibility to get the pixel advertising space for a better price.
