The prophet is generally recognized as being capable of miracle making something that can be shared with a false prophet. The ability of a false prophet to make a miracle is associated with a misused divine gift, although it is arguable that God would have foreseen the misuse and yet still proceeded with providing the gift for reasons only to known to him.
The prophet is also expected to behave and act in a certain way that befits his position as a representative of God. For that reason the prophet is expected to be an individual who can clearly show compassion and understanding for other people. His knowledge will acknowledge the appreciation that he has gained through his contact with God while his ability to offer advice will remain consistent with his increased breadth of understanding. However one of the most significant factors that a real prophet will possess is an ability to inspire people. Inspiration to follow someone or to be willing to give up your own life for them is something that few can achieve unless they truly possess a gift granted by God. Charisma, personality probably good looks will all be a part of the composition that is included in a real prophet. He or she will need to be someone with a quality that people whoever they are cannot simply ignore. Certainly exhibiting the power of a miracle will attract attention but whether it would be sufficient to attract a following that numbers the inhabitants of our world is questionable. In addition anyone claiming to be a prophet who would have truly conversed with God would recognize the necessity to inspire people. What prophets do is sew a seed about themselves and what it is they wish to be believed. Because the spirit dimension and physical dimension in which we live share the commonality of spirits, a true prophet will always be able to attract followers. For many it will be like a sixth sense telling them that the prophet is real, although the sixth sense is actually their own spirit hosted within their human body. What the prophet can achieve is to make contact with the spirit within each of us.
Unfortunately the same is true for a false prophet because a false prophet also understands the essence that is a link between the spiritual and physical dimensions. However, where a false prophet will eventually fail is in their ability to pretend to be what they are not. The spirits within each of us will eventually recognize the mischief that surrounds a false prophet and turn away but not before some have suffered at the hands of such an individual.
