Physician Jerome Cardan a much esteemed man passed away in 1578. This man was not just a physician, but an astrologer, mathematician and a gambler. What a huge contribution to the deaf community who benefited much to his studies. This led to further studies that helped the deaf people become further integrated into the world. There are many books that Physician Jerome Cardan has written and he was a huge success in his day. He left an autobiography that detailed his life and what all happened to him over the years. One of his sons had many problems with gambling and he himself was a big gambler, too. Though his family life may not have been as well as he wanted, he even had a son that killed his own wife, his contributions to medicine and astrology were his highlights. He is remembered well for all the beneficial work he did for both fields.

The Physician Jerome Cardan published two Encyclopedias of Natural Science. In them were great information about inventions and other great readings. In 1550, he introduced the cartographic tool, the Cardan Grille, which was another one of his huge contributions over his years on earth.

Physician Jerome Cardan died on the day that he had predicted, which led many to belief that he killed himself. There is also another interesting part to Physician Jerome Cardan, he officially did the horoscope of Jesus and was held for heresy. He computed the horoscope and then recorded it and this is what caused the problem. He was arrested for this when he did it and spent several months in jail to serve his time for this crime. This unfortunately happened in 1554 and later he was forgiven, by the Pope at the time.
