In the realm of the Zodiac, which is probably more familiar, the date of one's birth will determine certain traits and characteristics that person will have. This is assumed because of the position of the stars, which has been consistent since the beginning of time. For instance, if you were born on June 15th, your Zodiac sign would be that of Gemini. This is a sign that is considered to be the sign of the twin. If you look at the specifics assigned to a Gemini, you might find it interesting to see the similarities the Zodiac says you have with other Gemini's.

Likewise, in Chinese Astrology, your year of birth determines which of the four trines you fall into and what traits you will exhibit as an individual. If you were born in the years 1964.1968 or 1972, you will fall under the signs of t he Dragon, the Monkey, and the Rat, respectively. These make up the first of the four trines. It might be fun to look these up and determine if your personality, traits and characteristics match those assigned to people born in these years. Don't worry; if you were born prior to 1964, then you can look up virtually any year to find out what your year means to your person.

The second of the four trines is made up of the Ox, the Snake, and the Rooster. These three animals would characterize those born in the years, 1961, 1965 and 1969, respectively. According to Chinese Astrology, these individuals are hard working, discreet, modest, industrious, and have high morals standards. Does this describe you? If not, then maybe you were born in the year of the Snake, but exhibit traits of another animal.

Of the four trines, the third is the year of the Tiger, 1962, The Horse, 1966 and the Dog, 1970. These individuals are interesting because while they are to have traits that make them good speakers, it is also believed that these three are disagreeable as well as engaging. Those seem like opposites. These three also are said to be stubborn, vain and reckless; although they are also defiant against injustice, honorable and productive. The fourth and final trine consists of the Rabbit, those born in 1963, the Goat, those born in 1967 and the Pig, those born in 1971 (no offense). Of the four trines, these are your artsy ones; the refined, intuitive and well-mannered individuals. How can a Goat or a Pig be refined? Yes, that is an interesting question, one that only the Chinese Astrologers could answer, I guess. Although the associations we make with pigs and goats are dumb and dirty, the Chinese Astrologers tell us that these three are compassionately aware, and can be cunning and pessimistic.

So, if you are here on planet earth, you can find yourself in one of the four trines. It might be fun to look further and determine what Chinese Astrologer's say about your compatibility with the other signs and how the differences and similarities push and pull.
