Tomorrow looms large, waiting just beyond tonight's dark and devious shadows. They bug me, the shadows, they slink along the walls dragging just behind me like mischievous little children waiting to find trouble to get into. Much like the desperation and angst that follow me from room to room because I am sold that the end is coming soon, very soon, as I succumb to the fear that I am the prophet of doom, I look ahead to frightening times.

Many people are eternally optimistic and some people are eternally pessimistic. The latter set of people might believe that the world is coming to and end; therefore it doesn't matter how they live their lives. In other words there are people who look at a glass of water or other liquid and see the glass as half full and others who view the glass as half empty.
