Charolette's Pig; a pig personality

The Western culture thinks very little of pigs as being the type of animal that would be acceptably associated with people. They are thought of as dirty, dumb and good only as being dead. A pig personality though, in Chinese astrology is considered to be the most honorable in the signs of the Zodiac. For those who are only interested in eating their hearts, the heart of a pig is made of gold and their love of family is unmatched as far as the Chinese zodiac is concerned.
Recently, a remake of the famous "Charolette's Web" has hit the big screen. This story, about a spider, named Charolette who lives in a farmer's barn befriends a little pig named Wilbur. Wilbur is the runt of the farmer's most recent bunch and the farmer is planning on killing him because he'll never grow large enough for market. The farmer's daughter begs with her father to let her have the little pig for a pet, promising to look after Wilbur. The farmer reluctantly agrees and throughout the movie, Charolette tries to help little Wilbur make a name for himself. She does this by creating phrases like "a great pig" in her web for all to read. Seeing the many messages, the farmer takes Wilbur (and Charolette) to shows and festivals to "show-off" the little pig. Wilbur's personality, happy, friendly and loving shines through and he lives happily ever after with the rest of the barn animals in the farmer's barn.

A pig personality such as Wilbur's can be summed up in the Western phrase, "ignorance is bliss." Those persons with pig personality traits make great life partners in as much as they refuse to see negative qualities in a person, focusing on the good and positive. Sometimes, this will be a very harmful trait, as those who engage in relationships with a pig personality, tend to take advantage of them. As the person with a pig personality is considered to be a very highly intelligent person, they just simply choose to believe in the positive qualities of everyone and think more about friends and family than they do themselves. Still think a pig personality is someone who is dumb and dirty?

Pig personality types can play dirty. They tend to be quite evil in response to having been treated poorly by a lover, friend or business partner. Working with a pig personality may lead you to believe that they are snobby; however, this is due to the "perfectionist" attitude carried by these personalities. The pig personality possesses manners and taste, love fine, rich foods and can be rather exclusive as to whom they will spend their time with. As they would be better off to know that there are needy people everywhere (not just themselves), the pig personality can be self centered while at the same time, very generous.

If you are a Rabbit or Goat, you are said to be perfectly suited as a life partner to the pig. In the Chinese zodiac, these signs are complimentary, as well as similar in personality. While the pig cares deeply for family and friends, while not at all seeming to be superior, the Rabbit is also a very devoted family person. Being generous is a great trait if you are paired with a rabbit personality as they are emotional and very sensitive. The pig personality will accommodate these traits and work hard to make sure that the rabbit is smiling.

Who knows, maybe Wilbur was a Chinese pig, he certainly wanted to make sure that everyone was happy. Wilbur wasn't dirty or dumb, in fact, as Charolette befriended him, her began to learn things about life that many pigs don't ever know...that life is a cycle. There are so many phases in a cycle of life, Wilbur was lucky to know Charolette and see her as she phased from one cycle of life to another. A pig personality such as Wilbur's could change the Western culture's view of the animal all together.
