Astro's Pet HoroscopeLuna wanted to know more than she could observe about her puppy's personality. Astro, a six-month old terrier, was full of fire and energy. She wanted to know if his personality might change and mellow out as he grew older. She decided to get a pet horoscope for Astro. She contacted the astrologer, Omar, who constructed Astro's horoscope. A horoscope is an astrological chart that shows the Sun's, Moon's, and planets' positions at a particular time and can be used to predict the future.
There are twelve astrological or zodiac signs used to read horoscopes. These signs are associated with the months on the calendar year. The signs are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. Luna took Astro to an astrologer to have a dog horoscope constructed.
Luna provided the astrologer, Omar, with the time and place of Astro's birth. Omar used this information to determine where the planets could be seen above the horizon at the time of Astro's birth. A table was then used to divide the horoscope into 12 divisions (houses). From this information, Omar was able to determine that Astro was friendly, inquisitive, and energetic. Omar asked Luna if Astro ever tried to get outside because he surmised that Astro loved to explore and find new friends.
Omar was able to develop a detailed pet horoscope for Astro. However, the following basic characteristics associated with each of the 12 zodiac signs can give owners an idea of what their pets are really like.
Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 20) - Pets born under this sign have lots of energy. They are quick tempered, stubborn, and inherently disobedient. They also love affection and are sensitive.
Taurus (April 20 - May 20) - Easy to train, these pets are quiet and shy. However, if they are provoked, they will fight to the end, and they don't give up easily.
Gemini (May 21 - June 21) - Curious, friendly, and energetic, Gemini pets do not like being alone. They learn quickly and are easy to train.
Cancer (June 22 - July 22) - Cancer pets are sensitive, cautious, and trusting (once they are comfortable). They need a calm environment and do not like to be left alone.
Leo (July 23 - August 22) - These adventurous creatures are curious and daring. They love children, are protective, have strong memories, and live long lives.
Virgo (August 23 - September 22) - These pets are loyal and caring. They sense when their owner is unhappy or sick and provide comfort. They love spending time alone but will stay by their owners' sides for long blocks of time.
Libra (September 23 - October 22) - Libra pets are easy-going. They love attention; thus, they hate to be left alone.
Scorpio (October 23 - November 21) - These pets are loyal and energetic. However, they can be intimidating to other animals and are prone to pick fights.
Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21) - Fun loving and eager to please, these pets love the outdoors.
Capricorn (December 22 - January 19) - Capricorn pets have incredible endurance. These youthful pets can play for hours. They love to please but can be moody.
Aquarius (January 20 - February 18) - These pets are very intelligent; yet, they do not obey easily and are stubborn. These curious pets are gentle with children.
Pisces (February 19 - March 20) - These gentle creatures are sensitive to their owner's moods and are intuitive.
Whether or not a pet horoscope can shed any light on a pet's personality or behavior, they are entertaining. With time, observation, and patience, owner's can learn and understand their pet's behavior without a pet horoscope.
