For many years, too many years, dating back to Nostradomus in the Middle Ages, prophets have been foretelling the coming of the end of the world, known as Armageddon. If things don't change, this psychic prophecy may indeed come to pass. Of course not all psychics predictions are horrible, and maybe if we correct some of these issues the end of civilization as we know it can be avoided. Psychic prophecy is not a concrete science, but some psychic prophecy does bear out, particularly in the case of noted prophets like Nostradomus. Psychic prophecy, in the case of doom, is looking more and more accurate in this day and age.
If you believe in psychic prophecy, then it's all coming down soon. You know it, I know it, it's inevitable at the pace we're going with all of the building resentment. The divorce of humanity from itself is at hand. The polarization of politics and partisanship exists at every turn, hatred and angst are the defacto religion, seller of souls, conductor of violence, and consumer of people.
It's advertised on all the news networks, the daily wars and bombings. And they'll show any crazy despot, any fruitcake lunatic destroying people. It's for the ratings, you know. But what I'm talking about is cerebral you know. It's the conquest of the world through a little tube as prophesized by the ancients. Is Bin Laden the evil, or is he a symptom of the problem.
LA sounds like a good enough pond to me, that's who the republicans blame. It's stocked the way Nostradomus would have liked it, with freaks and fantasy and scads of hustlers looking for a story to steal. So that's where I'll start right there where they make the movies. Frankly if lawmakers stay preoccupied with Hollywood and homosexual activity and women's rights instead of focusing on the big picture of a world that is on the verge of extinction, the prophets will be proven right yet again.
In make-believesville, in Hollywood at least there's always a happy ending. Maybe we should get some Hollywood filmmakers to rewrite the ending of the psychic prophecies, at least then we might get a happy ending. Perhaps they'd pay attention to the ignored and angry in this world, and they'd construct a subplot based on the fact that we need less violent solutions to solve the world's problems instead of more violent solutions-HEY-they're creative out there in Los Angeles, maybe they could even write an exit strategy for Iraq? Haven't heard one yet, and some kind of exit strategy is better than none t all. That's what I think, anyway.
