In the world of the living, there are those who claim to be able to communicate with the dead. A clairvoyant, using crystal glasses filled to different levels with water is said to be able to "read" images sent to her from a demon. These demons answer questions posed to them by the subject. The one who "sees" these images and conveys the information to the subject has often times been accused of ventriloquism instead of really reaching a demon who is providing answers for questions posed.
Crystal glasses can reveal many images through the water filled "crystal balls" and the subject has professed of hearing a low mumbling voice. The clairvoyant would have the subject to believe that this is the voice of the demon who is revealing answers to him/her. However, the clairvoyant has been "caught" using ventriloquism in order to simulate the low mumbling voice that is professed as being the voice of an all knowing demon.
The modern day definition of ventriloquism is different than that of which we speak. The "speaking from the belly" that is the original meaning of the word is what the clairvoyant uses to produce these sounds. The subject then, who is prodding for answers can actually "hear" the voice and believes that the answers are being given, in part through the images seen in the crystal glasses.
With a low voice being heard from the belly (or as coming from the ground) in a low tone, the "seer" of the images centers on the art of magic to determine the right answer to give to the subject. By listening to these low tones coming from the ground, people's beliefs in the occult and black magic are enhanced, even justified in some instances. Who wouldn't believe in something they can actually hear?
The "seers" of this divination make money from being able to produce these low tones from their belly and therefore, charging subjects for answers that are "thought up" or "guessed" based on the information given to them by the subject. This type of divination is no different than traditional fortune telling or psychic readings. The only difference between these mediums is the methods being used.
In psychic readings, the psychic will take "clues" from the subject and make educated guesses based on their frames of references while dealing with other clients, the "usual and customary" responses given to him/her during other readings and throws in a little good old fashioned common sense and Wha-la! The subject is dumping more money in the hat for more and more "information" about their futures.
Don't be fooled by those who say they can give you information on what actions you should or shouldn't take in regards to important life decisions. You must accept whatever consequences lie in the decisions you make, so why not rely on your OWN common sense to make these decisions? After all, if you loose money, your house, your spouse or your job, the crystal glasses will still "prophesy" and the psychic won't be bothered a bit! They'll still be collecting money in their hats to "tell it like it is!"
