Women Without Children Can Have Fulfilling Lives

Woman and men alike are taught at a young age that their ultimate goal in life is to marry and produce children. Some people choose an alternative route, women without children and people who are married without children can find their lives are just as fulfilling as those who do have a large family. The world is ever changing and with those changes, come lifestyle options that did not exist in the past.
We are taught at a young age the basics of how life should work; most often those values and goals are instilled into us by parents and other role models. The idea of marrying, having children, and raising a family is a goal that most people are told they are expected to fulfill once they are responsible adults. However, in this ever changing world, there are more and more women without children; doing so by choice. Making such a decision may seem strange to some, but for those who decide such a future, they have many doors open to them.

Women without children often have a stereotype of being selfish and cold. Sometimes family and friends will just not understand why a woman would choose to remain childless. However, the tide is slowly turning and there are many arguments to make that deciding to not have children is a wise choice for some. Women without children can live wonderful and happy lives, doing whatever they enjoy most.

With the state of the economy as it is, some people will argue that bringing children into this world is not a responsible act, unless one is very financially stable. When a woman chooses to refrain from becoming a mother, it may be done out of the simple goal of not wanting to add to an already overpopulated world. In addition, the cost of raising a child is enormous over the course of the first eighteen years. As many children live at home well after they reach adulthood, the costs can rise even more. To some, it makes perfect sense to choose the road of remaining financially stable as opposed to raising a child with great difficulty in the money department.

Years ago, it was expected that a woman have a baby and then become a stay-at-home mom; not so any more. A two person income is a must in almost any area, and to remain in good shape financially, a woman must often devote a lot of her time, effort and goals into her career. Women strive to be independent and it is a personal choice to be a woman without children, one that should be respected.

Furthermore, there are more and more couples that are married without children and it can make for a great relationship. If both partners agree that parenting is not right for them, a life without children can make for a very strong relationship. Able to give more time to their partner and without distractions and responsibilities that go along with child raising, people who are married without children find they have much more time to give to their partner. Couples who are not parenting can have the options of traveling, enjoying hobbies together, devoting more time to work or personal business and give themselves the needed attention that they deserve. One may rather like the idea of being able to come home after a long day of work and enjoying a nice bath as opposed to cooking dinner for a house full of hungry little ones, changing diapers and helping with homework. No one should be judged, unless someone else walks in their shoes. Women without children are living happy, full and active lives just as much as those who choose to be mothers.
