Wikipedia, you probably have heard of it, it is the internet's free to use and free to edit encyclopedia that is available in many languages and provides a wealth of information on just about anything you can think of both on offline and online subjects. It's a great way to find information for school work, work or just to expand your knowledge and it's also a great way to contribute information that you think people can learn from. Wikipedia is a website that hosts a wealth of information for anyone to use and can contribute to, some of the main subjects that they feature are mathematics, science, history, people, technology and geography. Let's delve into a little more what Wikipedia has to offer.

Languages
English is the Wikipedia Encyclopedia website's primary language and has over 760000 articles in that language alone and has over 60000 articles in other languages and they are always expanding. So far there are articles in over two hundred languages including Italian, French, Arabic, Finnish, Swedish, Czech, German, Korean, Indonesian, Chinese, Japanese and Albanian. The website has a complete list of what languages it caters for and you can always contribute to them as they are always looking for informative articles in other languages.

Membership
Anyone can become a member of the Wikipedia website. There are many you get with becoming a member apart from more advanced search features, here's what some of them are.

You get your own user name that you can use on the discussion boards and will be displayed on the articles that you contribute to. A talk page that is totally customizable where you can add signatures, change skins with html, changing thumbnail and editing box sizes and just being able to be more interactive with other users and the website. Articles.
All of the articles on the Wikipedia Encyclopedia website give easy to understand and well researched information and links to terms that are displayed in the article so you can get a better understanding of what they mean, they also have links to related articles and outside website's dealing with information on that certain topics so you can have more information if you need it. There are also links to the discussion board on the article page so you can talk to other Wikipedia users about the subject.

All of the articles offered are easily downloaded so you can refer back to them when you are offline or whenever you need them to make it easier for you.
You can find information on pretty much anything you can think of at Wikipedia from society, science, countries, presidents, animals, wars all the way to different sorts of farming, cultures and ancient history. They're all easy to find and are placed in categories and other references so you can find them quickly and you always have the ability of using the search to help you on your way to finding the article you need. They also have recent news related articles so you can keep up to date with what is happening around the world.

Editing
If you find an article that you think you can contribute to some way or another or whether you would like to post an informative article on your own, you are able to do it.
