Wichita Single Life SucksThere's nothing quite like the moment when you get dumped. You've been in a relationship with a guy for two years, and you think it's headed somewhere. Then all the sudden over dinner he tells you he's breaking up with you, and that it's not you it's him. You're back to square one, starting all over, which means you have to meet someone new. It's time for you to join the being single sucks club.
There are numerous reasons why being a Wichita single sucks, but one of the main reasons is you have to start over and meet new people. It's hard to meet new people, especially guys you would actually want to date. Sadly, the older you get the more you realize all the good guys are taken and you feel doomed to never find your prince charming.
Another reason being single is horrible is you are faced with the chance of rejection. No one likes to be told someone doesn't like them, they're not interested in them, they're boring, or anything along these lines. Being back out on the market, chances are you're going to meet someone who doesn't like you, thinks something you do is weird or tells you flat out you're ugly. Rejection can hurt bad enough to make you never want to put yourself out there again.
Being a Wichita single sucks for another reason, and that is that it takes effort. When you're in a relationship with someone you are comfortable around them. You don't care that they see you with bed head or hugging the toilet when you've got the flu. However, when you're trying to meet someone or don't know someone real well you want to impress them, and this takes effort. You've got to take good care of yourself, dress nicely and look your best.
Another sticky point of being a Wichita single is the one night stand. If you've been out of a relationship for awhile and haven't had Wichita sex since you broke up, chances are as the night progresses, the idea of crawling into bed with a complete stranger could be tempting. While one night stands can satisfy your need and be fun, especially if you and the person you're with both agree a one night stand is exactly what it is and nothing more, most people don't discuss this or where it's going to end. Instead what happens is the next day, someone really enjoyed themselves, so they want to see the person again. However, the other was just in it for some free Wichita sex. The one tries calling the other numerous times but doesn't ever hear back, leaving them feeling rejected and hurt and questioning just how good they are or are not in bed. One night stands can also leave you in an awkward situation should you months later run into the person with whom you stood up.
When it comes to dating and being a Wichita single, there are a lot of disadvantages to it. Not only do you have to meet someone you like and are attracted to, but you also must impress them and not get rejected by them. Often times people get confused by one night stands, which most of the time turn out to be nothing more than a significant rejection. Just remember that you're not the only member of the being single sucks club, even though sometimes it may feel like that.
