20 years of study and practice, which includes western psychology and eastern philosophy. Every analysis done on sexuality based on western concepts where mostly everybody wants to fulfill the physical desire. Then there are eastern philosophies, which leads individual to go beyond physical desire.
Does it really happen, the fulfillment of physical desire?
No, absolutely not, one must understand the differences. Most of the westerners and now even eastern people wish to achieve the physical nature of complete ecstasy.
Unfortunately, the Yogic methods are exactly opposite of that. One is not suppose to look for physical fulfillment but (if possible) go beyond mind and matter.
I am writing this article for everyday citizen of western life after having the following experiences some 25 years back in Europe.
Later when I was treating few patients of different disorders, made me study the fundamentals of two disciplines the western sexuality and Yogic philosophies with practice.
Since childhood one is affected by socio-physical behavior.
You should not make gestures, which may come naturally, you should not show emotion, which may be human. Watch your body language all the time, watch your body posture all the time, never laugh naturally but show superficial smile. Should not eat naturally, sleep naturally etc, etc, in short, you should not be human.
Keep your face expressionless and do not even turn your heads naturally left or right or in any direction. Be completely stone-faced blockheads and stone figures, do not move hands or legs, which may be just natural movement of hand expression or adjustment. These were supposed to be superior qualities. Poor citizens of Europe became totally unnatural figures. They even forgot breathing naturally, because every part of the mind and body was controlled, how could one breath naturally?
If the breathing is under pressure, stress or not normal for a long time, one can imagine how many nerves are not functioning normally, this includes brain or mental activity and so the psychological and physical aspect is affected.
All emotions suppressed, all natural expressions hidden forcibly, this again made them more inhuman and brought all kinds of psychiatric and behavioral problems.
With too many interpretations and constant self-conscious behavior, with all that going on since childhood, the partner relation is also becomes disturbed and effected most importantly, the sexuality.
To overcome these problem people resort to either external means like medication or drugs and in case sexuality again some drugs or instrumental aid. This does not solve the problem but makes one addicted to artificiality, which further may lead to physical and mental harm.
All known psychophysical problems have above backgrounds, depression, paranoid, schizophrenia, mental blockages against sexuality, or other way because of unexpressed desires nymphomania. These disorders are directly related to ones own sexuality filled with, either conditioning of mind by morality, ethics and taboos leading to guilt, anger, depression etc.
To over come these problems people suddenly jump to spiritual level discovery through Yoga and Kundanlini.
This is a complete diversion from your actual problem. Yes, there is some aid found in Yoga and breathing exercises. But a Yogi is not some body who has undergone those psychophysical disorders as mentioned above. He has actually left every concept and meaning of society, thereby all morality; ethics etc. does not touch him. So also other way, he is not really interested in solving the psychological problem. This is the first reason for Yogis to live in seclusion, away from modern city life, neither they participate in city life activities they are living in.
Let us understand what is absolute fulfillment of desire, is it going beyond mind and body? This is questionable.
This means one has to forget the physical aspect. Yogic philosophy teaches exactly that.
Then, how to describe absolute or complete fulfillment of physical desire?
One description is, possibly only one is, every nerve, every molecule of body fulfills the desire without any contraction of single nerve. The whole body, every part and cell fills up with desire then opens up internally to achieve the ecstasy.
This is very difficult in daily life. There no Yogi of any discipline teaches this. Neither, myself will be able to look for such a complete liberation of every molecule and nerve in body.
As one tries to explain on tantric site: Tantra: Orgasm and ejaculation
Stated with extreme simplicity, orgasm is an intensely beatific state of consciousness and canceling of ego, with profound harmonizing, relaxing and regenerative effects. Male and female ejaculation is only a complex physiologic process of explosively energetic discharge with a dim manifestation of a brief, incipient orgasm, experienced in a selfish unilateral way. During ejaculation, the energy is quickly wasted and for no purpose (except when conception is wanted). http://www.experiencefestival.com/a/Tantra_Yoga/id/51347
Every possible means and explanations we see and hear from many people from all over the world but none is able to achieve such absolute fulfillment physically.
The Yoga asks you to channel all internal activity in one single thought. It can be also physical desire. But look back, all nerves and every cell and molecule is supposed to be under control. Under control means somewhere there is contraction in mind, hence not every body achieves awakening of Kundalini. Then again, even if Kundalini is awakened, you are in an ecstasy by out of body experience, which may last few seconds and one comes back to physical consciousness. Where by the physical and mental condition continues as before. Meaning contractions, stress and other psychological problems.
Gurus and Yogis are not interested in physical fulfillment; their goal is for knowledge of the cause behind life and death. Wishing further, liberation from life cycles.
The individual has to ask, what he or she is looking for? If it is through ecstasy the knowledge as Yogis want or is it complete fulfillment of physical desire, a bodily experience, which may some time lead to what Kundalini yoga teaches.
In first case one must find an honest master initiator who will, possibly by a mere touch awakens the Kundalini.
In second case one needs a perfect understanding partner who has studied all aspects of both fields.
