The single best shopping day of the year for retailers and bargain hunters is easily Black Friday. Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving when the retailers in the United States throw their doors open in the still dark early morning and offer some of the best deals you will every find. Last year some retailers were offering combination 20” flat screen television / DVD player units for only $60 and these were not junk. The way you prepare for Black Friday is to go on the internet a week or so before hand and check out the specials that will be offer through the sites dedicated to breaking that sort of information early. The stores themselves usually start advertising their Black Friday specials about a week in advance but you can get the scoop on the internet long before that.

Once you start to get the Black Friday lists then you can start planning your attack. You want to be sure to plan it so that you get as much as possible at one store. It probably will not work out that way but usually all of the best deals are gone within the first hour or so at the retail stores so you want to be sure that you try and keep everything centralized so that you can get everything you need. There are enough in store only deals on Black Friday to cover your entire list and remember that most Black Friday sales end long before noon so sleeping in is not an option. If you do that you are guaranteed to get the Christmas gifts you need at a fraction of what you would normally pay. Besides, who said you needed to go to bed after Thanksgiving anyways?
