It is largely found when one enters into a cave, be it a commercial cave or any other non-commercial ones, there happens to be something unusual! The combination of all smells like the feeling of the cave air, wild smells along with the utter darkness when the lamps are turned off, casts a magical spell. What do you get in the caves? In this special discipline you will come across many such unknown sagas or an unidentified period of the human history! Perhaps in the Neolithic age there used to be a tribe and some of the remnants of their lifestyles are still prevalent. Isn't that great! Thus in the cave you will come across or discover the beauty of nature and marvel at rock formations and crystals that took thousands, and even millions, of years to shape and develop. In general there happens to be different forms of caves, both in shapes and sizes. Throughout the length and breadth of the world there have been many civilizations in different ages. Though they have one thing in common, to live in caves, there have been many acute differences in respect of their lifestyles. There are caves that are horizontal, dry, hot, humid and sandy, while others are vertical, cold, flooded and muddy. There are even caves that are located under rivers and seas. When you or the researcher moves into the very cave, you or he/she become able to step back in time a bit, thinking of the early humans, their livelihood and would also serve as a shelter form outside elements. There is also an interesting aspect bout the caves. When you have toured one cave, you will also find the need to move into another. If you prefer to move into America there are many caves that you can either visit or explore. There are many for whom this is nothing but a hobby. They just love spelunking, or cave exploring since they are avid lovers of nature and also want to test the limit of physical endurance. To utter dismay the caves which are located under the sea or atop steep terrains and are very difficult to explore, some daring people have even explored them for scientific purposes, or for mere excitement.
Now if you are a cave buff you can remain busy throughout the year. Since in each and every part of the planet there is a mystery, and the caves are the citadels of those mysteries, being the dwelling of early human, when there was not even any glimpse of the human civilization! But for that there is the need of caving specializations. The first of them is the vertical caving. Since there are many caves that have huge vertical drops, with depth of not less than thousand meters and can be accessible only through rope work. Now to be able to explore such caves, there is a need of vertical cave training and equipment. For the benefit of the explorers the vertical cave exploration technique that is widely used nowadays is the Single Rope Technique, developed for the first time in the United States and Europe. The equipment you will need for vertical caving includes mechanical descenders, ascenders and a single rope. There is also a separate discipline called Cave diving, and is one of the most exciting cave exploration activities. There is need to have training in both cave exploration and open sea diving. Keep it in concern that there have been many people who have ventured into cave diving without the right equipment and training, and has either got injured or dead.
