Of course, Utah is not the only place that gets to celebrate Pioneer Day in July. Many members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, also look at this official holiday as a special occasion. Of course, some of the members of this church take it to a whole new level. Many of them walk a portion of the Mormon Trail. One fun thing to see during the Pioneer Day in July is all the reenactments that you get to see. Many members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints put on a reenactment of the entering of the Salt Lake Valley. This is a sight to see and is something that you should not miss when you come to Utah during Pioneer Day in July. Lots of people who have been a part of the Pioneer Day in July, do not soon forget it. In fact, even if they live outside of Utah or the United States, they will sing Mormon folk songs to commemorate this event. Nothing beats spending time with family, but if you can celebrate a great thing while you do it, it just makes it that much better. It is great to learn a little bit of history while you have a good time. The good part is that most holidays have something to do with history, so it makes it fun to learn as well.
Pioneer Day in July, is something to see. If you have never been a part of it, then you need to do it as soon as you can. This is something the whole family can enjoy. Just remember if you go up to Utah to celebrate this holiday, you better be ready to make a whole day out of it. Even then you may not be able to get everything down. One thing is for sure, you have to stick around wherever you are until night fall, that way you do not miss any of the great fireworks. Trust me, you will have no problem finding something to do to pass the time. The only hard part is going to be going back home at the end of the day.
