Have you ever gone for ballooning? This name may appear to be quite unusual to many, but it is indeed a kind of sport in the modern days. Let's make it more simple. A balloon is a special type of aircraft that remains aloft due to its buoyancy, and travels only by moving with the wind. Now, if it is equated with any kind of airship there will be definitely a wrong, since there exists a distinction from balloon, which is nothing but a buoyant aircraft that can be propelled through the air in a controlled manner. Moreover, as a special form of demonstration sport, it is prominent since the ancient days.
has its own long tradition and is one of the oldest means of flight, promising an enjoyable and scenic day out. It is recorded in the earliest chronicles of several countries, irrespective of the west and orients that as a regular means of communication respective governments used to spend for ballooning, and also as a regular part of the military strategy. However, in the present age thoughts for ballooning is no longer vital part of communication but is definitely regarded as a demonstrative sport. It is indeed a great fun to get into the balloon and fly high in the sky. But how is the experience? It depends from person to person but for instance, if there is the rise of the sun, through the effort for ballooning the travelers can perceive a spectacular view of the mountains. In general, the flight lasts for about an hour and the balloon is settled down on the earth. While the travelers land sparkling wine is served on and it is followed by a scrumptious breakfast. Besides each ballooning flight does offer spectacular photo opportunities especially when there is more than 1 balloon in the air! As a rule, the balloons do fly about 15km/h, which makes it easy to take breathtaking photos of almost anything. Besides, much also depends on the efficiency of the pilot. If he happens to be proficient then the balloon can surely be turned 180 degrees or 360 degrees to give opportunity to all to view certain areas in flight. To any layperson, it is indeed a matter of great wonder to assume that a balloon does carry more than one person! But it is true. If anyone ever takes a trip in any balloon, he or she will find that on average balloons take between 4 to 16 people in one balloon depending on the size. They are by and large divided into compartments where in a balloon of 16, 4 people share a compartment. The pilot, as is the rule of mechanism, is positioned in the centre where he/she operates the burners, and by this means produce the flame and hot air which lets the balloon fly. Hot air is trapped inside the balloon. Hot air goes up and because the outside atmospheric temperature is colder the balloon rises. The amount of heat is controlled by the pilot operating the burners, which in effect keep in line the height of flight.
Now when it is the time for the balloon to land, on landing the balloon is nearing the ground at a very courteous speed and gets settled on the grass or field. For the safety of the passengers cushioned benches are fitted in each compartment. Moreover, on landing the passengers are required to take in a seated position and holding onto the handle bars. There is no doubt that ballooning is indeed a safe sport and experience, but seldom there is a chance that the basket may tilt 90 degrees, but by holding on tightly none will fall out. On landing the balloon is nearing the ground at a very gracious pace and the balloon is settled on the grass or field. Cushioned benches are fitted in each compartment and on landing you are required to take in a seated position and holding onto the handle bars. It is very safe to land but the basket may tilt 90 degrees and by holding on you cannot fall out. In any country, where ballooning is still an alien concept, it can be started, with full confidence that within short days it will be the people's delight! But there is also the need of the fulfillment of certain criteria. There is a need for the balloons to be registered and with a valid air carrier number. It should be maintained by a licensed Aircraft Maintenance organization, manufactured by a company that is licensed to manufacture balloons and lastly the pilot should also be in possession of a valid Pilot's License. If the respective government permits, within short days ballooning will be the envy of other popular sports in the said region!
