Trivial Pursuit is a game that I have many great memories about, because my family, no matter how busy we were, would always come together to play this game. They make many different types of Trivial Pursuit games with many different levels of questions so that people of all ages can play and enjoy this game. Whether you're old and want to play the Genesis Edition, or a kid who needs the Disney questions; Trivial Pursuit has what you're looking for. This could just be the party game that you and your friends are looking for.
The object of Trivial Pursuit is a simple one. Move around the board collecting tokens (also known as “pie pieces” because of their shape) by answering questions right. Get a question right and you get to go again. Of course the game is not as easy as it sounds. The questions in Trivial Pursuit are split up into six different categories. These categories change depending on what type of Trivial Pursuit you are playing. Some typical categories of questions would be: music, sports, history, sciences, and other things around those types of topics. As you move around the board, you roll the dice, and when you land on a color you get asked a question from that topic. If you get the question right you get to roll again, but if you miss it, your turn is over. You goal to moving around the board is to land on the spaces that have pie pieces. To complete your pie, you will have to , at some point, answer a question from every topic. This is what makes the game so hard. You may be good with sports, but not as good with history. You are still going to have to get a question right under a topic you're not good at to be able to win the game. Trivial Pursuit can go on for hours because of this. Many times people get stuck on one category for hours on end because they can't get a right answer. Of course, that's half the fun of this game; laughing at people who miss a question. It makes it quite a fun game. Then after you collect all your pie pieces you have to make your way to the middle of the board. When you reach the middle, one of your opponents will pull a card from the middle of a deck and read a question off the card from his choosing. If you get the question right, you win the game. If you get it wrong, the next turn you go he will read a different question until someone wins.
One thing that is so great about Trivial Pursuit is all the different types of games they have. See, there can be a whole game made under one big topic. Say that you buy the 80's Edition Trivial Pursuit game, the categories under this topic would be all about the 80's. It still might have questions about history and sports, but it would be about 80's history and sports. There are other major topics you can buy for Trivial Pursuit like: Star Wars, 60's, Movies, and just about any other topic you could think of. This makes the game fun for anyone to play because you can always find a topic that you're into.
If you're into party games, Trivial Pursuit is the game for you. It's fun, challenging, and can be played by anybody. Whether you just want to play with your family and kids or maybe just invite over a few friends, Trivial Pursuit will be sure to delight. This is a game that you will want to play over and over again. There are so many questions in this game that you may never get the same question twice. This gives the game great replay value. So go out and get this game today. You won't be sorry you did, and if you already have it, start playing. Trivial Pursuit is a game that can be loved and shared by all.
