With Trillian, when you import contacts from other messengers they will be shown with a certain color so you know which messenger they are from and using. For example yahoo! Show up read, MSN users are blue and the instant messenger AOL or AIM is yellow. Having a set up like this makes it easier for you to know who you are talking to.
A feature that is appropriately called Time Travel. With this feature you can record, fast forward and rewind video live stream video and audio conversations for later viewing and references.
Another one is the unique history feature that Trillian has, you have the ability to search through it and bookmark sections that you would like to come back to at a later date and it is all done in an easy to use interface.
Another quite unique feature is the ability to download information and articles from the Wikipedia website. This feature works while you are chatting and searches your messages for corresponding words and if it has found something that is Wikipedia's data base it will under line it so you can either download the information or go view it on the web.
