The coming of the internet and increased family acceptance of the concept of dating is changing the way the Sikh community views marriages.

One can find people belonging to the Sikh religion at most parts of the world these days. They have made successful forays into various different fields and have been successful in them too. The booming economy of India, where Sikhs originally come from has also contributed to the socio-cultural changes among the traditionally conservative Sikh society.
