There are no roads in Kobuk Valley National Park or rail service into the park. Summer access into and through the park is made possible by using watercraft or aircraft, and by foot. Visitors should bring their supplies because there no amenities within the park. In the winter snowmobiles, aircraft, and walking are modes of transportation into the park.
