Near the eastern end of the Trans Canada Highway, 257 km west of Saint Johns, Newfoundland, is the eastern most National Park in Canada. Located on the western edge of Bonavista Bay, Terra Nova National Park provides the visitor with the chance to view herds of whales or passing icebergs from the rocky prominences along the shoreline. Hiking and mountain bike trails allow access to the forests and bogs of the interior, as well as extensive sections of the coast line, providing personal glimpses of a wide variety of flora and fauna in this year round park.
