The Aboriginal people have named this park Purnululu, which means sandstone. People, who come to Purnululu to camp, usually stay for a few days or longer. If you do decide to go backpacking further and get a spectacular view of Picanny Creek and Gorge, it is required that you tell a ranger before you do so. While you are doing all this walking, do not climb on any of the sandstone formations. If you recall, they are very fragile.

When you are in Australia you will want to visit the Purnululu National Park. The Purnululu NP has the most fascinating Bungle Bungle Range in it. You will find the scenery of the Bungle Bungle to be awesome so make sure you have you camera with you to take lots of great photographs of the scenery.
