Lake Eacham is one of the national parks that located in North Queensland. It is a part of the Australian National Park system. The main attraction of Lake Eacham is that of a maar. A maar is a volcanic crater that was formed by explosions from overheated ground water. This park is surrounded by rainforest. Other national parks exist in the general area of Lake Eacham as well, such as Lake Barrine, The Crater, Daintree, and Cape Tribulation.
