Trainspotting is a BAFTA winning movie, that turn out to be a cult classic with many people. This movie was directed by Danny Bovle, and he did a great job making this movie. Also another cool thing about Trainspotting, is that the author of the novel makes an appearance in the film as the drug dealer named Mikey Forrester. I always think it is cool when you can add in someone that came up with the idea for your movie, into the film itself. The whole movie is about a group of heroin addicts trying to come to grips with life. Trainspotting movie follows this group over the course of their life and the problems that arise, usually because of their addiction to heroin. This was a well received movie by not only the critics but for casual people such as ourselves. The users of Rotten Tomatoes gave this film a high 80% out of 100%. This makes the film better than your average movie, which it is. So many movie plots today follow the same type of story with just a little twist. Trainspotting is a movie that will take you on a different ride than you have ever been on before. It is definitely a must see.

The director of Trainspotting, Danny Boyle, has said that he would love to make a sequel to the movie. This one will take place nine years after Trainspotting movie. Again this film will be based off Irvine Welsh's sequel to his Trainspotting novel, which will be called Porno. Danny Boyle is a great director and wants to wait to make the film unto the original actors from the first movie age themselves. This will give a more real feel to the movie, which is something you do not always see. I always find it great when a director wants to use the same actors in a sequel to a movie. Too many times now-a-days, people will make a sequel to a hit movie, and not use the same actors. This takes away form the film, and thus usually makes it not as big as a hit. Of course, this is not something that is easy to do. It becomes hard to gather the same actors for a movie. Trainspotting movie is no different, if not a little worse, because the director wanted to wait so long before the filming of the second movie. If you enjoy the first one, that was because of the fantastic actors that were in it. All we can do is hope that they will be willing to come back and do a second one today. So if you have not see the first one yet, it may be a good idea to go out and rent it now. This way you will be able to get your hands on it and see it before the second one comes out. Usually when a sequel comes out to an old film, the first one becomes hard to find because everyone is in a big hurry to see it before the new one.

Trainspotting movie is one of those films that will not be soon forgotten. I mean, here it is almost twelve years later and we are still talking about it. This just helps prove that this is a great movie and has to be seen. Great movies are made to be seen by people like us. Thus we have to go out and support good movies, if we do not then only crap movies will get made. That is why movies keep coming out over and over. Is that what you want to see, a movie with no plot?
